What are Fall Minis?
Fall mini sessions are a session that take place during the fall. They tend to be shorter photo sessions which include a smaller number of digital photos. For example, a normal family photo session may last around an hour and come with 30 digital images (this is different based on the photographer, obviously). However, a mini session may run 15 minutes with anywhere from 3-10 digital images included.
5 Reasons to Book a Mini Session
There are plenty of reasons why mini sessions are so great. But if you are ever undecided as to why you should book a mini session, or if it is even worth it, here are my top 5 reasons to book a mini session.
5. You want quality over quantity.
Instead of getting, let’s say, 40 to 50 images to look through, and decide which ones you love and want, you will get 5 to 10 of the best images and your decision making process will make it way, way easier to get images on your home walls and on social media.
4. It’s painless and quick.
Not only are they great for kids, who have extremely short attention spans. But let’s be honest, a lot of the time you have to convince the men in your life to take photos (this has just been from my experiences in photographing families). However, because minis are quick, it is also easier to convince the men in your life to smile for 15 minutes, rather than an hour. It’s so easy, and fast, it will be over before you know it and will have beautiful images with no complaints.
3. It’s a great deal!
Who doesn’t like fresh, updated photos of their family or kids for a fraction of the full price? It’s my belief that all of my sessions are very fairly priced, but a mini session is a huge steal for all that you get!
2. Kids grow up so fast.
Children grown, and change, so much even within a year, and with minis popping up, and being available, all throughout the year, you can capture them at all of their different, developmental, stages.
1. Brand photos.
With instagram, and tiktok, growing at rapid speed, these minis could be perfect for getting a few creative portrait shots to promote yourself on instagram or other social media platforms (cough cough tiktok). I live behind the camera but even I love having a few extra nice looking photos of myself to show off online!
